There are some different ways to learn how to lucid dream and ways to make it happen. Here are some different ways to learn this dreaming technique.

Have you ever been interested in dreams and this spiritual and also untapped part of your mind? Or have you ever wanted to understand what your dreams were about or what the symbols you keep seeing in them meant? There is a way you can do this and it is through lucid dreaming. Lucid dreaming is when you are fully conscious in your dream and have complete control over what happens in your dreams. You are essentially awake in your dream and realize that it is only a dream and not really happening. Lucid dreaming is a technique that can be developed and cultivated. Many people can make lucid dreams happen easily, with very little effort, while others do have to work at it and develop their skills. Either way everyone can learn to lucid dream. Here are a few simple ways to begin lucid dreaming:

*

Before actually trying to have a lucid dream, you will need to start remembering your dreams. Lucid dreams cannot happen unless you can remember and recognize you are having a dream at all. So, start to work on remembering your dreams. The better you are remembering your dreams, the easier lucid dreaming will become. You will need to intend to remember your dreams, as time goes on this will become easier and happen more naturally.

*

Write your dreams down as soon as you wake up. This will help you to remember dreams and will also help to give you insight when you are lucid dreaming. Knowing what symbols to look for or the questions to ask will make your lucid dream a more fulfilling experience. Have a plan ready for how you will record your dreams, whether you plan to write them by hand or type them up on the computer, know what you’re going to do so you can get down as much information as possible about your dream.

*

Keeping track of themes and symbols that pop up again and again will make remembering them easier and you will be looking for these themes in your dreams. Also, some of these recurring themes and symbols can actually help you to have a lucid dream.

*

Always make time to lucid dream. Give yourself time to sleep and dream, removing and lessening the amount of stress in your life will make lucid dreaming happening more easily and naturally. Pick a specific time to start trying to lucid dream, maybe on weekends when you are not getting up as early for work or while on a vacation when everyday life is not interfering as much. Making time for yourself and your dreams is the best way to truly begin your lucid dreaming experiences.

*

Of course, take your time. Do not try to rush lucid dreaming; it definitely will not happen then. You must be relaxed and open to dreaming, trying to make it happen will cause stress and the dreams will not come. As you begin how to lucid dream, do not try to do too much in each dream. A little at a time and let things happen naturally as you are comfortable with it.

*

Never try too hard to lucid dream. The harder you try many times the less chance you have of lucid dreaming. Becoming frustrated will impede your progress and the more things you try that do not work will only further frustrate the situation. Take a rest from lucid dreaming if things are not working, sometimes not trying at all will make a lucid dream happen.

*

Lastly, do a reality check when you are unsure if you are dreaming or not. Typically, if you have to ask if your dreaming, then you are. Have a few different ways available to yourself to check to see if you are dreaming, that way if you are still unsure after the first test you still others you can try next. Try to levitate or walk through a wall, mirror, or window. Looking at clocks or reading a page in a book works too. Clocks and books are never the same the second time you look at them.

Lucid dreaming is a technique like anything else and has to be practiced and work on. Over time lucid dreaming will become easier to do and more fun when you are able to easily go into a lucid dream. So, do not give up and keep working on making those dreams happen.
